Hey Mama!

Are you ready to start making cooking for your family so much easier?

Everytime you spend a lot of time making a meal for your family, are your thinking there has got to be an easier way?

Or even, are you tired of your food not turning out like it was supposed to?

You’ve come to the right place!

So what are you going to find here?

My blog as a whole is focused towards busy moms who don’t have time to cook elaborate meals for their families but don’t want to eat frozen dinners or take-out. Even if you’re not a mom, the recipes are still perfect for you as well! I like to focus on moms, since, as a mom, that is who I can connect with the best.

I’m going to be sharing with you all the tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years, that not only make cooking so much easier, but also turn you into a cook who can make anything turn out the way it was supposed to!

Also, my promise to you is that, every recipe I share with you is going to be easy, and healthier, PLUS a meal that your kids will eat, and every recipe comes with a step by step tutorial so that you learn exactly how to make it. (Already a seasoned cook and don’t need step by step pictures? Skim through anyway, the important parts are bolded, so you may just learn a few new tricks

What types of recipes do I make?

You will find a lot of one pot, sheet pan, and crock pot meals. Along with many recipes that can be done in under 25 minutes. Since all these recipes come with step-by-step picture tutorials, it’s perfect for beginners. Not a beginner cook? Skim through anyway, you may learn a few extra tips!

Since I am the farthest thing from being a morning person, you will also find make ahead breakfasts on, including healthy muffins and quick breads. I love it when I can just grab something out of the freezer in the mornings instead of having to actually go and make something.

What Ingredients do I use?

I want to make sure that we are on the same page so that you know what I mean when I mean I create healthier recipes!

My recipes include sugar-just much less than most recipes(I do have some sugar free recipes here)

I use butter- not oil. Why? Because butter is much healthier for you than margarine or oil. You will find cream-just in moderation

Everything that I create in my kitchen comes from regular whole foods. I don’t have any special health foods(such as stevia, specialty grains, gluten free or any other specialty ingredient) Everything can be purchased at a regular supermarket.

So who am I?

I’m Jacqueline, recipe creator, and a mama of 4 little ones!

My oldest is starting kindergarten this fall, and my youngest just started walking. I got married, had babies right away and hope there are more to come. I have been cooking and baking for as long as I can remember.

I love being a mama to my kids… but I also need a creative outlet for just me. Thus… Simply Delectable was born.

I’ve always been so frustrated coming upon a recipe, but after reading through it, learning that I would need to go buy 5 ingredients that I don’t regularly store in my house. So instead of counting on other people’s recipes, I became more focused on creating and recreating my own so that they would be a healthier version of traditional recipes.

So… if you were looking for a blog focused on gluten-free, sugar-free, fat-free… then no, this blog won’t be for you.

But, if you are looking for healthier ways to feed your family, without breaking the bank(because honestly some of those special health foods are so expensive, especially if you’re feeding a large family) along with not spending to much time making meals and clean up, then… welcome!

I’ll be teaching you meal planning, cooking cheap, and how to make cooking go much faster, right in your inbox. Stay tuned for all the amazing things that are coming up.
